Whidbey History

Whidbey Island is unique and was blessed by settlers who wrote about their experiences, and some who photographed the area.

Local historians have written delightful books about the history of the area. One of these, Dorothy Neil, collected a treasure trove of interviews with "old-timers" and wrote several books about Whidbey Island history. Another local historian of note was George Kellogg.
